Cauliflower salad

My absolute favorite Cauliflower salad the recipe is made with raw cauliflower, bacon and onion as well as a sweet basil sauce that will get you hooked!

If there’s one salad recipe that’s guaranteed for guests who request a recipe, it’s this delicious cauliflower salad. This recipe is for my mom and has been a family favorite forever! I love its uniqueness and it couldn’t be easier to do.

How to cut cauliflower:

Start by removing the leaves from the bottom of the cauliflower. Next, cut with a knife around the shaft. When you do this, the cauliflower flowers will naturally start to fall. Use a knife to cut all the large pieces into bite-sized pieces.

How to make cauliflower salad:

Make a dress: Mix all the sauce ingredients together and cool. Can be done several days in advance.

Compound cauliflower, bacon and onion in a bowl and mix with the desired amount of sauce. Add the salad and stir until smooth. Serve and enjoy!


Make instructions in advance:

The dressing can be prepared up to 5 days in advance. We recommend that you prepare the salad the night before serving. You can also throw the whole salad with the sauce in addition to the salad 1-2 days before. Add the salad just before serving.

Recipe variations:

  • Vegetable cabbage salad: Leave the bacon out.
  • More vegetables: Try adding chopped Brussels sprouts, chopped broccoli or carrots with cauliflower for extra crispiness!
