Jello fruit salad

The ingredients in the Jello fruit salad are added to a large bowl.

(Strange, I know. Did someone else’s mom make a jello of them when they were sick?) However, this Jello salad is completely original and the flavor combination based on the added fruit and not so “gummy” texture is amazing!
  • Full of fruit, including strawberries, apple, banana, pineapple and cranberries.
  • Can be done in advance.

Required ingredients:

  • Strawberry -Jello package.
  • Boiling water: helps jello powder to form.
  • Whole cranberry sauce.
  • Barrel of sweetened strawberries. It is sometimes referred to as “sliced ​​strawberries in sugar” and is usually found near a portion of frozen fruit or a refrigerated portion of a grocery store. If you want to substitute fresh strawberries, use about 1 lb of fresh strawberries mixed with ½ cups of sugar. Stir them frequently for 20 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Drain some of the juice before use. Jello may not form as well if you use fresh strawberries, depending on how juicy they are.
  • Bananas.
  • Apple: grated
  • Lemon juice: so that the apples and banana do not brown.
  • Crushed pineapple: could use fresh

Preparation of Jello fruit salad:

  • Add the grated apple and chopped bananas to the bowl and throw in the lemon juice.
  • Empty the Jello-O package into a large bowl. Add 2 cups of boiling water and mix well until the Jello-O is dissolved.
  • Add the crushed pineapple and strawberries and mix until smooth. Stir in the whole cranberry sauce. Stir in grated apple and chopped banana.

  • Pour into the desired serving dish – I use a 9 × 13 ”pan, but you can put it in a small or other container – and put in the fridge for several hours or until the jello is formed. (Will not be like rubbery / solid than normal jello.)
  • Serve with whipped cream and chopped walnuts or pecans if desired.
